Frequently Asked Questions
We only have a maximum of 2 swimmers in a class. We want our instructors to maximize safety and teaching time. We use 2 flutter boards like an airplane to help teach kids how to swim. The instructors are all very competent and comfortable so it is not a problem. Your child will be supervised continuously.
There are many differences, but the most important ones are our small class sizes which enable a high degree of individual attention; our instructors can’t be topped; and our trademarked Ready, Set, Swim! approach keeps us all focused on skill development.
We teach the Ready, Set, Swim! and Aqua Babies curriculums and the Lifesaving Society Leadership and First Aid programming. We can also customize a training program for your own individual goals!
We teach our students from where they are at. The instructor will work with your child to give them the confidence and skills they need to improve. With every improvement, their instructor will keep encouraging them so that they can move forward. Throughout a full year of swimming, we give out 2–4 written reports. (Aqua Babies classes will only receive report cards in December and March; adults do receive report cards.)
