Infant Classes Age 4 months - 2 1/2 years old

Aqua Essence offers a baby program that is unique to North America. We teach your infant how to swim! Consistent with our philosophy, we use small classes, maximum of 5 infants to maximize the instruction and time we spend with you and your baby. We teach repetitive instructions that help teach your baby to be safe in and around the water. Parents who have participated in this program our continuously wowed and amazed at the skills that their little swimmers have. The babies that swim in our program SWIM! The younger you introduce your baby to the water the more comfortable he or she will be in the water. We encourage parents to start their infants as soon as they can hold their heads up (4-6 months). For consistency and best results we encourage as much as possible for the same care giver to attend the majority of the classes.

Classes are made up based on skill level. This program is too amazing for words and we welcome you to come and observe any one of our parent and baby classes. We have people from all over Canada and the United States inquiring about our baby program and philosophy.

Infants stay in this program and continue to progress and advance their skills until they are 2 1/2. Once they are 2 1/2, they head into the Red Cross Swim Program and continue to work on Sea Turtle levels in our unique curriculum designed for toddlers who have successfully graduated from our baby program.

Infant classes are offered throughout the week on various days. We generally teach infant classes in the morning due to napping schedules. Inquire early as these classes fill up very quickly and are continuously sold out! We will always do our best to accommodate you so if a class is full, find a friend and we will open up another class for you.

Do you worry that your infant might choke? Do you and/or your family members know what to do if this situation arises? We do! We would be happy to help you feel safe and secure knowing that the people you trust with your most precious commodity would know what to do in any situation. We can come to your house and teach you and your family the skills you need to feel safe and secure with FIRST AID and CPR.

Adult Classes

Congratulations on wanting to enhance your life with swimming whether it is a new skill or an old skill!

Our adult program is as flexible and unique as you are.

We recognize and treat this as a personal and private process. All of our adult classes are one on one lessons (unless you specifically sign-up with a friend).

As adults we are all very busy people and schedules change as the weeks change so here is what we do:

* We find out your goals.
* We match you with a competent instructor who has worked with adults before
(not all of our instructors are compatible or the right fit for our adult swimmers).
* We find out how many classes you are wanting - minimum of 1 up to as many as you want.
* We find a time and day that generally work for you.
* We set it up and we start swimming!

Ten Reasons adults sign up for lessons with Aqua Essence Swim Academy:

1 - To learn a new skill
2 - Stroke correction
3 - Training for Triathlons or form of exercise
4 - To build it in as part of a new exercise program
5 - They have kids and realize that they don't know how to swim
6 - To feel comfortable enough to go on a tropical vacation
7 - They want to snorkel or scuba dive
8 - They need the skill for a job
9 - They took lessons as a child but can't dive or do front crawl properly
10 - They like us and want to spend more time with us!

Cost for Adults - $39.00 plus GST for 30 minutes one on one.

Note: If you are planning on taking a number of classes (12 or more) on a weekly basis please contact us for package pricing. Price does not include public admission to pool.

Triathlon Training

Triathlon training started in 2009 with one adult, we are now training five groups a week and the need is growing. We offer one-to-one or groups (your friends only, up to a maximum of five) to come and train with us. Our individual approach, drills and positive reinforcement help adults go from non-swimmers to swimmers in a very short amount of time.
